Deeper Connections & Focus Through Yoga, Building Strength, Flexibility & Balance
The wonderful thing about practicing yoga is discovering a deeper connection with your physical self, deeper breath, calm mind and an ability to accept what is before you. Most of our days we move through life oblivious to what has happened in our bodies. We forget that the body is the receptacle for all we experience, and sometimes what we retain can cause us more damage physical than we realize.
SUN YOGA is an exclusively TRADITIONAL YOGA & MEDITATION studio. The teaching is based on classical yoga which has been practiced in India since centuries. All the instructors at SUN YOGA are trained by a lineage of yoga gurus from highly reputable yoga schools like Sivananda Yoga Centers across the world, Isha Yoga school and Kaivalyadham School in south India. Come and experience the difference!
Classes are offered in small groups, of up to 15-20 students, in a relaxed environment. The calming energy of the studio, soft music, yoga props and gentle instructions make the yoga class experience very conducive for learning yoga. There are TWO LOCATIONS, in south side and north side of the city, with ample free parking.

Erica Stables
Erica partook in a 24 day intensive Yoga Teacher Training course with Sadhana Yoga School in Bali, Indonesia. Attending an intensive course allowed her to be fully emerged in a yogic lifestyle for a few weeks, enhancing her personal experience and taking her education to a much deeper, more intimate level, and she is so grateful to have had this opportunity! Specializing in the Sivanada path of Hatha yoga, she studied pranayama exercises, meditation techniques and asana poses, with focus on alignment, and with lots of opportunities for variations and modifications, to suit every yogi out there! Forever a student, she is constantly attending workshops, studying texts and has a constant hunger for learning, for her own personal growth and to be constantly gaining a fresh perspective to share with her students.
After spending a month teaching yoga and English at a shelter for women in Cambodia, Erica is totally inspired by the pure and true spirits of the girls she met there, and wants to continue to travel and volunteer internationally. She is passionate about yoga, travel, health, the environment, the outdoors, hiking, scuba diving, fitness, equality, animals, volunteer work, music, inversions, and of course, LOVE! She believes that through constant practice, one can connect to their True Self through the power of Yoga. Erica is ecstatic to have the incredible opportunity to share this passion and love with her students.

How SUN YOGA is different from other yoga studios?
SUN YOGA offers instruction in small groups for beginners and the experienced.
The beauty in keeping the class size small is that each yogi is able to do yoga poses according to their own abilities. In every class, option for doing advanced variations of a pose is given to experienced students while the beginner or intermediate can the basic asana/pose. Therefore, the need for beginner and/or advanced level classes is not felt by the students. Everyone feels both safe and challenged in the class!
This is NOT a Hot Yoga class. Asanas are done at room temperature. Classical yoga believes in using the natural body heat which is generated during asanas and breathing, to relax and make the muscles flexible.
Please try and arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time. Arriving early will give you a chance to get changed, talk with Manisha about any concerns you may have, and get settled in and relaxed before your class.
